Stephanie McDermott is the Program Strategy and Delivery manager at Sweet, an experience-driven NFT platform that connects the world’s biggest brands with enthusiastic fans. She explains that this position at Sweet allows her to work with the projects for themselves to make sure they are developed. She also gets to dive more deep with the brands and discuss with them what their goals are and what their roadmap looks like.
Stephanie got her start with art and comic book collecting. She explains that her grandfather was an art collector, and it piqued her interest in that world.  She continued this until she saw art come out as a digital form of collection. She loved that she could own the art, but that the artist would continue to receive payment for the art forever. She discusses her journey from starting her career at Enklu, an AR/VR/XR platform where you can create different metaverses, to ending up at Sweet.

Stephanie also discusses:
The potential barrier with fans who are enthusiastic about these brands, but less knowledgeable on Web3, and how they overcome that barrier
The ways in which Sweet has made their onboarding process as simple and seamless as possible for fans
All of the incredible experiences that can come about as a result of immersing yourself in the world of Web3 and the value in being willing to learn more about it and normalizing it
